The new look Aquarena health club is bigger and better than ever, so no matter what size, shape, age or fitness level you will immediately feel welcome when you enter our state of the art health club facility. Our supportive staff, friendly atmosphere and comprehensive introductory program will ensure you will progress towards achieving the results you desire.

Open seven days, you're able to work out with the latest in health and fitness technology in air-conditioned comfort. Our health club is constantly supervised by our qualified and experienced staff who are there to support, motivate and encourage you along the way- from the initial health evaluation and personalised program to continuing re-evaluations and gym floor guidance.

Reach your fitness goals by working out in our different training zones for cardio, strength and functional training.

Cardio zone

Overlooking the indoor pool hall our cardio zone comprises of over 65 pieces of the latest Life fitness cardio equipment as well as a few cutting edge pieces to keep your cardio workout interesting and challenging. From treadmills to exercise bikes, cross trainers, rowers and step machines you are sure to find something that suits you without having to wait to use a machine. Most of our pieces of cardio equipment have an entertainment console, where you can watch television, surf the internet or listen to music for some extra encouragement during your workout.

Strength Zone

Our specialized strength and resistance zone includes over 40 pieces of Life fitness strength equipment, suitable for beginners to advanced, so you are sure to find something to suit your strength training requirements.

This large area includes a diverse range of innovative resistance training tools. From machine pin loaded equipment, cable machines, synergy machines, Kettle bells and TRXs to add to your Aquarena training regime.

Functional Zone

Try out our new functional space where you can practice your core, strengthening, conditioning or stretching exercises. Comprising of dura discs, kettlebells, medicine balls, foam rollers, bosu balls, TRX bands and much more. Functional training involves performing work against resistance in such a way that the improvements in strength directly enhance and assist any adult with performing everyday tasks.

Getting Started

At Aquarena we understand that starting an exercise program for the first time can sometimes be a little intimidating. Therefore as a new health club member, you are given 3 one-hour appointments with your own Health and Fitness Consultant who will guide, support and motivate you through those important early stages.

After an initial health evaluation, your Health and Fitness Consultant will write you an individualised exercise program, specifically designed to meet your goals. The evaluation is followed by 2 program starts to ensure you are comfortable with your exercises. This process is repeated every 12 weeks to maximise support, motivation and progression. All of your training programs and progress are recorded in our GreenEdesk software which you are easily able to track as you go.
